Student Volunteers for Summer Programs
Description: Are you a DCDSB secondary school student looking to earn volunteer hours this summer? Join Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre in supporting Elementary Literacy and Numeracy Camps for students in Grades 6-8. Volunteers will assist Senior Teachers with various tasks and/or assist camp teachers in creating a positive learning experience for younger students.
Details:
- Duration: Commitment of at least one week is required. Student can select 1 or more weeks.
- Schedule: 5 days per week, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
- Responsibilities:
- Support teachers with camp activities
- Assist with literacy and numeracy exercises
- Help manage student groups
- Perform other tasks as required by Senior Teacher
Requirements:
- Must be a current DCDSB secondary school student
- Provide one educator reference (permission must be requested first)
- Indicate preferred week(s) and location in the application form
Application Deadline: June 11, 2025
Assignment Notification: Week of June 16, 2025
Note: Positions are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate all applicants.
