Citizenship Preparation

 

Are you writing the Canadian Citizenship test this year? Plan ahead and take our preparation course!

The course s only offered from October- May at night and  focuses on Canadian geography, history, culture and government. Gain an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of Canadian citizenship, do practice test questions, improve English language skills and gain confidence. This course uses the citizenship study guide, Discover Canada. Learn about Canada's heritage and history, geography and regions, government and systems.

Due to the length of this course and content, no level completion certificate will be issued as proof of language proficiency.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Citizenship Preparation classes are open to Permanent Residents.

 

REMINDERS:

  • An English Language Assessment is required for all ESL, LINC and Citizenship Preparation for ESL classes

  • All classes are open to Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, Refugee Claimants, and Canadian Citizens. 
  • All classes require sufficient enrollment to run
  • Proof of Language Proficiency Certificates are only issued once a student has completed a CLB level based on PBLA Guidelines
  • Attendance Policy is in effect for all classes
  • Fee for services classes are NOT available for Visitors, Work Permits, Study Permits that do not fall under the federal or provincial requirements for LINC or ESL classes
